Electric Fence Components

Essential Components of Electric Fence

Druid 15LCD Energizer

The LCD display in the Druid range makes information on the status and performance of the energizer quick and easy to read. Using the Adaptive Power Technology (APT) pioneered by Nemtek, these energizers offer a unique technology to detect how much power a fence can accept and handle before it starts to arc and waste energy. This maximises the power on the fence and minimises false alarms.

Warning Sign

Warning Signs must be placed along the fence line to warn of the existence of an electric fence. In built up areas – These must be placed at 10m intervals along the fence, at gate ways or whenever there is a change of direction. In rural areas they must be placed at 100m intervals, at gate ways or whenever there is a change of direction.

Druid Single Zone Keypad

The single zone Druid energizers can also be controlled and programmed with the optional LED single zone keypad. The energizer can be installed near the fence and the keypad can be located where it is most convenient for the user

S-Hook

The S-Hook is used to hook the different wire tensioners, heavy duty springs and strainer insulators to the Omega brackets or the angled or round corner posts.

Lugs

Lugs are used as fixing devices for stays. The metal lugs are used with the 8mm and the 10mm stay brackets for the wall top brackets. They can be bent to fit onto the side or the top of a wall or onto a bracket.

Ferrules

Ferrules are used to join the conductive electric fence wires permanently. This is a high security wire connection because it cannot be removed.

Undergate HT Cable

The frequency of the flashing LEDs indicates the voltage level on the fence. The longer the period between flashes, the lower the voltage on the fence. The intensity of the light remains the same so it can be seen from far irrespective of the fence voltage. It is installed between the earth and live wire to indicate the status and condition of the fence for peace of mind.

Timed Fence Light

The frequency of the flashing LEDs indicates the voltage level on the fence. The longer the period between flashes, the lower the voltage on the fence. The intensity of the light remains the same so it can be seen from far irrespective of the fence voltage. It is installed between the earth and live wire to indicate the status and condition of the fence for peace of mind.

Druid Fence Probe Software

Nemtek Druid fence probe software provides a PC based visual interaction with your electric fence system. Visual map images of the electric fence and its zones can be displayed on a computer screen. This software enables a site to be controlled from a remote location.

A programmable timer function can control water pumps, lights and other remote functions using the Druid network IO card. Logs record the operational history of the system over time.

Siren

The sirens are audible indicators that alerts you if there is an alarm condition when the electric fence has been tampered with. Available in 15Watt single tone, 15Watt six tone and 30Watt dual tone.

Strobe Light

This strobe light is a visual indicator (flashes) of an alarm that has been triggered. The strobe light carries on flashing after the alarm as an event memory indicator.

Stay Bracket with Lug

Stays are used in conjunction with the brackets to provide additional support on strained sections of the fence, i.e. corners, steps, gates, etc.

Hybrid Compression Spring 3

This Hybrid Compression Spring 3 combines a compression spring and a ratchet tensioner all in one. The heavy tension compression spring will maintain the tension of the fence wire and the ratchet tensioner can be used to increase the tension as and when required over time.

Solid Stainless Wire

Solid Stainless Steel Wire offers a higher resistance to most corrosive environments and a longer life span on the fence. The 316 grade is the wire of choice for highly corrosive coastal areas.

Square Tube Jurassic Bracket

Square tube Jurassic brackets are used to erect an electric fence and are supplied with insulators. Available in hot dip galvanised, or hot dip galvanised and powder coated. The choice of a bracket should provide a good enough barrier to prevent a criminal from getting through or over the fence without triggering the alarm.
